City Core Pilates has been carefully put together by founder Katie James in 2019. Since childhood Katie has always been passionate about body movement and actively involved in a range of exercise modalities, from county level netball, boxing, intense gym training and long distance running. However, suffering with a hip injury back in 2016, as a result of a cross country run, she started practicing Pilates to rehabilitate. Daily Pilates practice has brought her back to activities that she loves.

Continuing to practice throughout her first pregnancy and having enjoyed all the benefits that pregnancy Pilates brings, she qualified as a Pilates instructor with a further qualification in Pre and Post Natal. Katie is determined to share her knowledge and experience to help explore and develop the abilities of her clients, to help and teach what the body is truly capable of.
